About the Writers
Laramie Boyd
I was born in Oklahoma, moving to Southern California four years later. I graduated from Glendale High School and earned a Bachelors and Master's degree from California State College, majoring in Psychology. I played a year of professional baseball before working for Proctor and Gamble, J.C. Penney and the State Department of Employment. I was a math teacher, girl's softball coach and Registrar in the Los Angeles City School District for 32 years. I live in Palm Desert, California with my wife. I have a daughter and 3 sons. I play golf, read and write about things of interest, mostly astronomy and politics.
